Autumn Friends

Autumn brushes past Summer;

Knocking all her trees.

Autumn brought a friend along,

Who freezes everything he sees.

Autumn brought another friend,

Who blows you off your feet.

As Wind gets stronger,

Sun falls to sleep.

Oak, Maple and Birch,

Standing alone once again.

Since all the birds have gone

Somewhere, warmer to chirp.

They all lay down a blanket,

Full of colourful Autumn leaves.

 Bronze, Ochre and Scarlet,

Pirouetting in the breeze.

Thank you to Cupcake#1 for sharing a beautiful poem, reflecting the time of year.
