Nurture Games, An Art of Type (2016-17) was first created after a learning curve whilst studying with Dr D. Kennedy, Lecturer, Creative Writing, at the University of Hull.
Dr. Kennedy is now sadly no longer with us. However, his legacy will live long.
The experience in the learning of particular games that can be played when drafting poetry together, provided the method and resource to pull this eBook together. At the time I didn’t see myself as a poet, more so a crafts-woman with words. I loved pulling these short pieces together and levelling up ideas into a whole new form. For, this I do believe is what Creativity is all about. A selection of Poems: it isn’t very long, it was very early in my learning as a Creative Writing in progress. After pulling the poems together, I didn’t quite know what to do with them.
The front cover has recently been updated, July 2018. My husband tells me this picture is very boring. I say beauty is often found in the eye of the beholder. A game of chess was the inspiration for these poems.
